Happy Friday! We made it to the weekend and we're celebrating at the track! We're headed to the Big Easy to watch the races this afternoon at Fair Grounds Race Course! Today's card includes 9 races, lotsa running and starts at 11:05 AM Pacific. Watch for scratches today: the track is fast, however at this time races 4, 6, and 8 are off-turf. Temperatures will be in the mid 5o's with cloudy skies. Not ideal, but we're still racing!
Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our #LundinLine top picks and best bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow down the field while we're puttin' our tickets together. And our very own Mr. Dave W is one of the best handicappers in the business, so give him a follow and let him know what you think! Don't forget to check out his Capper's Corner for a special long shot pick you won't want to miss. First post will be here before you know it, so don't be late! You know what to do. Let's check out today's Best Horse Value (BVH). What's our BVH, you ask? A Best Value Horse is probably not going off as the betting favorite and is unlikely to to go off with the longest odds. Simply put - our Best Value Horse is a runner our very own @TSDaveW likes with morning line odds that we'd classify as fair to middling. This will be a horse that should be competitive, and if it hits, you'll be glad you played it! Odds, of course, change throughout the day, however we're lookin' at the Morning Line odds when making these picks.

Race #4
Starter Allowance $50K)
1 Mile - Turf
Mission Belle (#1) // SCR
Noble Mission / Bayou Breeze
M/L: 6/1
Mission Belle enters Race #4 as the class of the field. She broke her maiden on December 5th going 1 and 1/16th miles on the turf at Fair Grounds. She then moved up to face $50K Allowance Optional Claiming competition on January 29th with same race conditions as her maiden victory but showed her inexperience on route to a 5th (of 8) place finish. Thomas Amoss keeps this daughter of Noble Mission at the same class & Murrill at the helm but turns her back to 1 mile. Mission Belle should be considered and wouldn’t surprise us if she went off as the favorite or co-favorite - however - with morning line odds of 6-1, she is our Best Value Horse for today's races at Fair Grounds.
