Happy 502's Day & National Blueberry Pie Day!🥧

After a day off, Churchill Downs continues the countdown to the Kentucky Oaks and Derby. We’re back on the track and excited to have some early‑week action for you with a solid nine‑race card to ease us into the week.

On Sunday, we did better than we did on Saturday—though that’s not saying much—and we’re still not where we want to be, so we’re getting our reps in right along with you. Sunday’s card had us find 4 of 9 top-pick winners, with only one second-choice winner. We did turn a small profit on top picks on a hypothetical $2 win bet, returning $3.36 for an ROI of +7.6%. However, playing our top two picks resulted in a loss of $12.22, or an ROI of -33.9%.

Today’s card has no stakes races, but as noted, it’s 502 Day, and we’re happy the local crowd will get to enjoy a day at the races at a discounted rate. We hope everyone heads out and lives their dream of taking in a day at the races in their best Derby attire.

We’re looking at possible thunderstorms to start the day, but for now there’s only a 20% chance of rain, so we’re hoping it holds off. Make sure you check the track conditions before you place any wagers.

We’ll have our Lundin Line top-rated selections all the way through Saturday and hope you cash some tickets with us to get In The Money!

502’sDay is a celebration of the Louisville community held at Churchill Downs during Kentucky Derby Week. Named after the city’s 502 area code, it is designed as a more affordable, "locals-focused" alternative to the high-priced Derby and Oaks days.

Highlights & Traditions

  • "Shop Local" Initiative: Guests are encouraged to wear outfits and accessories sourced from Louisville’s local boutiques and shops to showcase city pride.

  • Fashion Contest: A "Style Under the Spires" fashion contest often takes place, typically selecting finalists between mid-afternoon races.

  • Community Spotlight: The day frequently includes tributes to local icons—such as past celebrations of Muhammad Ali—and recognitions for community leaders and nonprofits.

  • Local Culture: You'll find interactive exhibits, live art installations, and races named after long-standing Louisville businesses.

Need help picking winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) Lundin Line's top picks and best bets are below. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late - It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰💰💰
