Happy Winsday & National Bugs Bunny Day! 🐰

As we mentioned, we are capping the ponies all week in Louisville, KY, at Churchill Downs. What a day at the track we had yesterday! Our top picks resulted in five winning selections, yielding an impressive ROI of 51%!

Today promises more action as we kick off our first stakes races of the week, leading up to the fastest two minutes in sports. The card today features 10 races, including two stakes events and a robust lineup of runners. The excitement is building, just as the fields for each race are taking shape.

The featured race today is the William Walker Stakes, which takes place in the ninth race. This is a 5 ½ furlong sprint on the turf with a purse of $300,000. Although this race will be over quickly, we are hoping for a strong finish from one of our best bets.

If you're looking for more excitement and want to capitalize on all available stakes, the other stakes race occurs just before, in the eighth race, providing an excellent opportunity for a nice double today.

Please note that rain moved into the area after yesterday's card finished, but we have limited scratches on today's card. We hope things will dry up even more so they keep the featured race on the turf since the rain is expected to let up before the first post. Keep an eye on any changes and track conditions before finalizing your tickets. As of this morning the track is fast and the turf is firm, so we think we have a good shot of staying on today.

Need help picking winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) Lundin Line's top picks and best bets are below. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late -

WINSDAY & NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: Winsday, a new Derby Week event, emerges as a beacon of community spirit and philanthropy. This is more than just a race day—it’s a celebration of the pivotal role nonprofits play in our community.

Churchill Downs, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is a historic horse racing venue best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby. It was officially opened in 1875 by Colonel Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr., the grandson of famed explorer William Clark, who was inspired by European racing traditions. The track quickly gained prominence with the inaugural running of the Kentucky Derby, which has since become the longest continually held sporting event in the United States. Over the decades, Churchill Downs expanded its facilities and reputation, undergoing major renovations while preserving its iconic twin spires, which were added in 1895. Today, it stands as a symbol of American horse racing tradition and culture.
