Running conditions are looking great - just like yesterday - with firm turf, a fast track and temperatures in the mid 70's with partly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance of showers this afternoon, but we're hoping it misses the track and we stay dry the entire day. The first post is at 8:20 AM Pacific.

Let's check out today's Best Value Horse (BVH). What's our BVH, you ask? Our Best Value Horse is probably not going off as the favorite and is unlikely to go off with the longest odds. Simply put - our Best Value Horse is a runner our very own @TSDaveW likes that should be competitive, and, if it hits, you'll be glad you played it! It's all about getting a great price for a good horse. Odds, of course, change throughout the day, however, we're lookin' at Morning Line Odds when making these picks.
Filling in today is our very own @TSFinky who was on All in with Colin (@colinsheehan45 on Twitter) Thursday to discuss the Belmont Stakes!!!
Race 8 / $400K GI-T Stakes / 6 Furlongs
#13 Gregorian Chant (GB)
M/L 8-1
This 6 year old gray gelding from Georgian (IRE) and Tabrina (IRE) is a three time winner out of four races at this distance. While Gregorian Chant has never run at Belmont, he is 10 of 19 ITM on turf lifetime and no horse in this field has won more than once at Belmont. This typically West Coast horse is looking to break through on the East Coast for his second win of 2022. Trainer Phillip D'Amato has an ROI of $2.09 in the last 60 days with an impressive 19% win rate in stakes races. Joel Rosario will be aboard for this ride, his second straight (showed last time out in May), and being paired with D'Amato they produced an ROI of $3.40, the highest in the field. GC isn't the best horse in the field, he isn't supposed to win, but with the highest lifetime speed in the field, if he can grab the lead early we see good things for him. At this price, we couldn't pass him up and Gregorian Chant (GB) is today's Best Value Horse!
