Happy Winsday & National Shrimp Scampi Day! 🍤

As we draw closer to the day we’ve been preparing for since late November, our anticipation grows with each card we post. That’s right, we’re still capping the full cards from Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY.

Yesterday saw us bounce back again from our dreadful weekend, as we had five top-pick winners and one additional second-pick winner, returning $4.32 with an ROI of 24% on top picks, but losing $8.72 with an ROI of -24.2% on second picks. It was a very favorites‑heavy day at Churchill, so there weren’t many big prices to boost that ROI.

Our best run came in races four through six, where we hit three in a row. But again, with all the favorites winning, the Pick 3 payout was small as well. Hopefully, you found some way to come out ahead. Our buddy, who was there, hit race 5 with the 9 horse and said that was enough for him to just enjoy mint juleps the rest of the day. Hopefully, you were also able to keep the bankroll moving into today.

Speaking of today, we have another nine‑race card, this time with two stakes races and over $1,000,000 in purse money to hand out. That means even more opportunities to cash tickets and build the bankroll for the weekend ahead.

The featured race today is the 6th, the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes, for two‑year‑old horses only, with a purse of $250,000. This race will be a short five furlongs on the dirt course. Take note of these eight runners, as any one of them could be back here next year in a much bigger capacity if their connections get them on the right path starting today.

The weather today should be delightful, with highs in the mid‑60s and some clouds. There was a slight chance of rain in the early morning, so be sure to check track conditions and scratches before you place those tickets.

"Winsday" at Churchill Downs is a dedicated philanthropic race day during Kentucky Derby Week (held on April 29, 2026) that combines horse racing with community support for local nonprofits. It serves as a fundraiser where 50 selected organizations sell tickets, with $5 from each ticket donated to the respective nonprofit.

Key Features and Usage Examples:

  • Nonprofit Ticket Fundraising: Supporters purchase tickets via unique links from participating organizations, with $5 per ticket donated back to them.

  • Charity Post Position Draw: Similar to the Kentucky Derby, 20 non-profits are randomly paired with Derby horses. If their paired horse wins, they receive extra donations.

  • Supporter Drawings: Attendees have chances to win additional monetary prizes for their associated charities.

  • Charity Showcasing: The day features, such as the 2026 event's spotlight on, nonprofits like, Barren Heights, Greater Clark Educational Foundation, and Backside Learning Center.

  • Actionable Support: The event includes high-stakes racing, such as the Kentucky Juvenile Stakes & Isaac

Need help picking winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) Lundin Line's top picks and best bets are below. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late - It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰💰💰
