Happy Thursday & National Dance Like a Chicken Day! 🐥

It doesn’t take long for the two weeks between the Derby and the Preakness to pass, so we thought it best to get you ready by playing the ponies from Laurel Park in Laurel, MD.

In our last post, we were in New York, and we ended up with a less-than-ideal day. We had a mere 4 winners from 11 races for a loss of $2.68, or an ROI of -12.2%. For the month of May, we are still slightly profitable, so we hope you found a few winners or added a couple of your own to turn it into a nice day.

Today’s card has nine races but no stakes, so bring your own snacks. There is also no featured race today, as they’re saving up the excitement for the next two days.

The weather today will feel more like early spring than the middle of May, with highs in the upper 50s and partly sunny skies. The dirt track has been rated good, and we will be off the turf today. Make sure you check the scratches before you put those tickets together, as they have not been posted as of the writing of this post.

We will have full coverage of Black-Eyed Susan Day tomorrow, and the Preakness on Saturday will be top-rated coverage for every race over the remainder of the weekend.
