Circa Million III // Week 9

Welcome back to Turtle Sports! It's week 9 of the NFL season and that means half of the regular season will be behind us after Sunday (yes, Monday, we know... a little hyperbole never hurt anyone). It really is crazy how fast the season is going, but don't we say that every year? I digress. There are NFL week 9 plays to be had! We are still climbing that Circa ladder so the way to look at the situation is that we still have half the games to rack up points. As the age old adage goes: Lotta games left; lotta points left. I think John Adams said that. So we're back with our Circa Sports Million III Pro Football Contest Week 9 picks. Here's a quick rundown with what this is all about:

Each week we are picking 5 teams against the spread for a chance to win the $1 Million First Prize for best record at the end of the season. Point spreads for this contest are published Thursday mornings by Circa Sports and remain static through the week.

We have three different entries in this year's Circa Million contest: Our first entry plays are made using our Turtle Sports proprietary model (our Model Plays). These picks are made strictly by the numbers without discussion. Our Kappin' with Krista plays are base on group discussion and collaboration. These plays are different from our model picks as we handicap each game as a group and attempt to beat our model. Our last entry is for the $100,000 BOOBY PRIZE (Booby Plays). The way you hit this one is by having the worst record at the end of the season, so we're pickin' teams we think won't cover the spread. Okay, you got all that? Let's check out our records after week eight:

Model Plays: 4-1 for week 8 / 25-14-1 overall

Kappin' with Krista: 3-2 for week 8 / 20-19-1 overall

Booby Plays: 3-2 for week 8 / 26-14

So that takes us to Sunday. Krista is BACK with our Circa Sports Million III Week 9 Picks! We're banking on Green Bay (sans Mr. Rogers) keeping things relatively close with Kansas City. With the Chiefs suspect defense, we're thinking that won't be a problem, with or without Butte College's finest. We're also looking for a big game outta Trevor Siemian and the Saints. They've got a 6.5 point spread to cover against the Falcons on Sunday. And despite being a one point 'favorite' on the road, we're thinking the Cardinals lose outright to San Francisco.
