Happy Sunday y'all! It's another week of football and we are reeling from last week. Bad beats are our nemesis this year and we need to shake it off. With this being such a long season we are not in panic mode yet like five 0-2 NFL teams may be. We got back to what we know and did our due diligence to try our best to right the ship. If we let one bad week ruin it all then why did we enter a season long contest at all? Thanks for sticking with us and let's enjoy the games.
In the Millions contest, each week we are picking 5 teams against the spread for a chance to win the $1 Million First Prize for best record at the end of the season. Point spreads for this contest are published Thursday mornings by Circa Sports and remain static through the week. We dialed back a bit this year on our entries in the Circa Million IV contest, we only have one, but added some more fun in the Circa Survivor:
Model Plays: This entry's picks are made using our Turtle Sports proprietary model.
Survivor: Pick one team each win to win outright (spread doesn't matter) and you move one; the catch is once you use a team you can't use them again
Model Plays: 5-5-0 for 5 Points
Survivor: 0-1-0 Eliminated
So that brings us to week 3. The model produced a rare Thursday pick for us and we felt it was better than the sixth ranked pick it produced so as of this writing we have already lost one game this week.
