Circa Million III // Week 18

Happy Sunday! We have made it to the end of the NFL regular season and the first ever Week 18! It's always a bittersweet time of the year: the holidays are behind us and the regular season is ending, but we do have the glorious playoffs to look forward to. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Although the season did not quite end the way we were hoping, there is still a chance for us to finish the Circa Sports Million III contest #InTheMoney. We are going to need a perfect record and a lotta help, but there is still a chance, so that is our focus of the day. As usual, we'll start off with a quick rundown of the contest and then we'll get to our Circa Sports Million III Week 18 plays.

Each week we are picking 5 teams against the spread for a chance to win the $1 Million First Prize for best record at the end of the season. Point spreads for this contest are published Thursday mornings by Circa Sports and remain static through the week. We have three different entries in the Circa Million III contest:

Model Plays: This entry's picks are made using our Turtle Sports proprietary model. No discussion involved

Kappin' with Krista: These plays are made using group discussion as we handicap each game and try to beat our model.

Entry formally known as Booby Plays: This entry was originally made trying to end up with the worse record at the end of the season for the $100K Booby Prize. As it turns out, we weren't in a position to hit that prize, so our focus is now on having the best record at the end of the 4th quarter of the season to get our part of the $250,000 quarterly payout.

So that brings us to week 18. We're playin' all dogs this week with the exception of the Titans (-10) and the Washington Football Team (-7). We're thinking the Jets keep the game somewhat close with the Bills and cover the 16 point spread - and the weather today could certainly make that happen. We're also thinking the Bengals will be able to keep things somewhat close against the Browns despite Joe Burrow not playing. They're going in to the game at 6.5 point dogs.
