Happy Thursday & National Moonshine Day!
Today marks day two of the Belmont Racing Festival at Saratoga, and we are thrilled to be back at the track to enjoy another day of horse racing. Yesterday, we had a solid performance with two winners from our top picks and five winners from our second picks. If you combined your tickets strategically, you likely enjoyed a great return on investment for the entire card.
Today's racing card features a total of 10 races, including four stakes events, and sets the stage for an exciting weekend ahead. The highlight of today's races is the ninth event, the Poker Stakes. This race is a one-mile route on the turf course with a purse of $300,000. Originally, there were 10 runners scheduled to compete, but with three scratches, we are left with seven competitors. While this may result in lower payouts due to fewer horses in each pool, we can still expect an exciting race.
The weather today looks fantastic, with highs in the upper 80s and mostly sunny skies. The track will be fast, and the turf will be firm, setting us up for a wonderful day of racing.
