MLB Plays Wednesday 5/7/25

Happy Wednesday! We're recovering from yesterday's results, where several underdogs won outright. In the one game where the favorite won, we had the run line, but they only managed to win by a single run. Overall, we went 2-4 yesterday, resulting in a loss of 2.07 units and an ROI of -34.42%.

Today, we're aiming for a bounce back with seven plays, and we'll also be closing out a few series. I’ll be attending the Mariners vs. Athletics game today, and I have a bet that I think you might like as a bonus.

Mariners starter Brian Woo hasn't faced the A's this season, giving him an advantage since the hitters won't have prior experience or familiarity with him. Additionally, the A's rank 15th in strikeouts against right-handed pitching, averaging 5.8 strikeouts per game. It's also worth noting that the A's are on day 16 of consecutive games with several cross-country trips, which could lead to fatigue for the everyday players.

For today's bonus bet, I recommend Brian Woo to record over 5.5 strikeouts. We do not count bonus plays, but I saw the odds at +104 earlier today, so make sure to grab it before it drops; I noticed it was at -102 as I wrote this.

Good luck today, and let’s aim to get In The Money all day!

Here are a few important points to remember before you start playing any of the games listed below:

1. We will only place bets to risk, not to win. This means we will risk one unit to win whatever the payout is. There are numerous plays available, and risking more one unit to win a full unit can lead to quick losses.

2. We will avoid betting on lines that are at, or sometimes near, -200. Instead, we will assess teams based on the run line to determine if a good play exists.

3. The price listed is the price we found when we prepared this post. We do not shop for prices, as we are located in California and have limited options. All suggested plays will be based on this price, although your bookmaker may have slightly different odds.

4. From our experience last year, our system was particularly effective for series prices, which you will also find listed below. Please remember that the same rules from point 3 apply.

  1. We advocate for playing listed when placing your wagers. A pitching change could affect the line, and we must ensure we are using the proper information to make the best wager.
