Turtle Sports MLB Power Rankings '25 Week 6

Happy Power Rankings Monday! Last week was another solid week overall, but it had its ups and downs, as we experienced two very good days amid some not-so-great ones. We finished with a record of 29-21, gaining +2.52 units and achieving an ROI of 5.03%. While it wasn't our biggest score ever, we’re pleased that we made money, which is what really matters.

This week, we didn't see many big shifts in the MLB standings since most teams had fairly average weeks. Being just five weeks into the season, I don’t attribute this to fatigue; rather, I notice some unusual scheduling patterns. For instance, we had two series that were only two games long, which might explain the lack of outstanding performances from certain teams.

The biggest riser this week was the Royals, who climbed four spots due to an impressive performance. On the flip side, there were no significant fallers; the most any team dropped was two spots. The bottom six teams remained unchanged, but we did see the Cubs move up to second place, while the Tigers entered fourth, surpassing perennial powerhouses like the Yankees and Phillies. Detroit boasts the second-most wins in baseball, and the Cubs are hot on their heels. With the easiest remaining schedule, keep an eye on the Cubs as they could make a strong push for a wild card bye in the first round of the playoffs.

Unfortunately, yesterday we went 1-4, resulting in a loss of -3.42 units, which nearly cut our profits in half. Today, we have five daily plays and three series plays lined up. We still believe the series plays are a solid choice, but we will keep monitoring their progress for improvement.

Good luck with all your plays today, and let's work together to get In The Money!

Here are a few important points to remember before you start playing any of the games listed below:

1. We will only place bets to risk, not to win. This means we will risk one unit to win whatever the payout may be. There are numerous plays available, and risking one unit can lead to quick losses.

2. We will avoid betting on lines that are at, or sometimes near, -200. Instead, we will assess teams based on the run line to determine if a good play exists.

3. The price listed is the price we found when we prepared this post. We do not shop for prices, as we are located in California and have limited options. All suggested plays will be based on this price, although your bookmaker may have slightly different odds.

4. From our experience last year, our system was particularly effective for series prices, which you will also find listed below. Please remember that the same rules from point 3 apply.
