Happy Thursday & National Haiku Poetry Day! 🇯🇵📝
Eight race card today
Our Lundin Line at Gulfstream
Hoping for Winners!
For those who need a refresher - "Haiku poetry is a form of Japanese poetry that is non-rhyming and usually consists of 3 lines with a syllable pattern of 5-7-5."
So - as our Pulitzer Prize-worthy Haiku says - we do find ourselves in Hallandale Beach, FL, for a short but sweet card that we hope will allow you folks to cash some tickets.
This Saturday, we head to Hot Springs, Arkansas, for Oaklawn Parks' 12-race card featuring the Grade 2, 1.25 Million Oaklawn Handicap.
Derby news this week:
After his connections reconsidered, Owen Almighty (winner of the Tampa Bay Derby) is back in the field for the 151st KY Derby on May 3rd. This despite trainer Brian Lynch being on record before the T.B. Derby as wanting Owen Almighty in the Pat Day Mile Derby undercard race. Before this development, Built had moved into the body of the race once the connections for River Thames decided to pass on the Derby & instead target the Preakness. While Built's connections have not committed to running in the Derby, the runner-up in the FL Derby, Neoequos is chomping at the bit for a chance to be in that starting gate on May 3rd but now needs two defections.
Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) #LundinLine's Top Picks and Best Bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late - It's time to get #InTheMoney!

Gulfstream Park, located in Hallandale Beach, Florida, is one of the most prominent thoroughbred horse racing tracks in the United States. It opened in 1939 and quickly became a key venue in the American horse racing scene, especially during the winter months when northern tracks were closed. Known for hosting the prestigious Florida Derby—an important prep race for the Kentucky Derby—Gulfstream has seen many legendary horses and jockeys compete on its grounds. Over the years, the facility has expanded to include a casino and shopping village, transforming it into a year-round entertainment destination.
