Happy King's Plate Day & National Bratwurst Day! 🤴🏼

It's Saturday, which means we are at the track in spirit, so why not play the ponies and cash some tickets? We're headed north to Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, to wager on the races at Woodbine Racetrack. Today marks the biggest racing day of the year in Canada, or at least the most talked-about — the King's Plate is finally here.

Today’s card features a total of 13 races, including six stakes races. There is also a Breeders' Cup win-and-in race, in addition to the King's Plate. Below, we have included more details about this historic race.

While the Breeders' Cup race is not the main event today, it presents a significant opportunity for one horse to secure a starting spot at Del Mar in November. This race takes place in the seventh race of the day and is for fillies and mares three years old and up. It will be run at a distance of 1 and 1/4 miles on the turf course, with a purse of $750,000. The winner will earn a spot in the Maker's Mark Filly and Mare Turf race.

Today's weather is expected to be warm, with highs in the mid-80s and mostly sunny skies. We know football is ramping back up, but there are still plenty of chances to cash some tickets at the track. We hope you take our picks and get "In The Money."

The King’s Plate Stakes, Canada’s oldest and most prestigious thoroughbred horse race, was first run in 1860 after being established through a petition to Queen Victoria. Initially restricted to three-year-old Canadian-bred horses carrying relatively light weights, the race has evolved over more than 160 years into the opening jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown. (King's Plate, Prince of Wales & the Breeders' Stakes) Traditionally contested at Toronto’s Woodbine Racetrack since 1956, the King’s Plate (formerly known as the Queen’s Plate during a reigning queen’s tenure) is run at a distance of 1¼ miles on Tapeta and remains a highlight of the Canadian racing calendar, drawing top horses, owners, and spectators from across the nation.

Need help picking winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) Lundin Line's top picks and best bets are below. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late -

It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰💰💰
