Happy Tuesday! We hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day and took a moment to thank a veteran in some way. We took the day off from capping baseball to ensure our power rankings were accurate and our records were updated. Last week was tough for us, as we finished with a record of 15-17, resulting in a loss of 5.23 units and an ROI of -16.34%. We also experienced a losing week with our series plays, but we believe in our system and will continue to push forward.
This week, there were some significant changes in our rankings, as we usually make larger adjustments every four weeks. The biggest risers this week were the Nationals and Cardinals, each moving up four spots. No team dropped more than two spots, and the top six teams, along with the bottom three, remained the same. Memorial Day is typically a key milestone, marking about one-third of the way through the season. We’re starting to see several teams find their rhythm—those that began the season slowly are heating up, while some teams that started strong have cooled off a bit over the last couple of weeks.
The Braves are getting healthy, and many expect them to make a run now that Acuña is hitting home runs and Strider is racking up strikeouts again. We have not significantly lowered their ranking, and they are quickly closing in on our top ten once more. Today, we have seven daily plays and one series play to help you get In The Money with us!
Here are a few important points to remember before you start playing any of the games listed below:
1. We will only place bets to risk, not to win. This means we will risk one unit to win whatever the payout may be. There are numerous plays available, and risking one unit can lead to quick losses.
2. We will avoid betting on lines that are at, or sometimes near, -200. Instead, we will assess teams based on the run line to determine if a good play exists.
3. The price listed is the price we found when we prepared this post. We do not shop for prices, as we are located in California and have limited options. All suggested plays will be based on this price, although your bookmaker may have slightly different odds.
4. From our experience last year, our system was particularly effective for series prices, which you will also find listed below. Please remember that the same rules from point 3 apply.
