Happy Power rankings Monday! We jinxed ourselves talking about going for a winning week for the first time this year as we went 2-3 yesterday for -1.61 units plunging us back into the negative. The good news is we have fresh rankings to help us keep working towards that goal of profitability. Maybe you have been fading our picks and are cleaning up but we are happy to see limiting our risk has kept our losses minimal.
The power ranks see some familiar faces up top but there were a few big risers and fallers as well. My mariners are the big gain this week grabbing back those five spots they lost last week after a solid showing by sweeping the Rangers this weekend. Two big fallers this week in the Red Sox and the afformentioned Rangers each falling five spots this week. While we saw some shake up the bottom six remain the same and we will continue to play against them in most situations. We will need to carefully evaluate the Angles as their record doesn’t reflect their rank and if Trout keeps crushing homers they could move up quickly.
Today, we have six plays and four series plays lined up. Good luck, and let’s get back in the money this week!
Here are a few important points to remember before you start playing any of the games listed below:
1. We will only place bets to risk, not to win. This means we will risk one unit to win whatever the payout may be. There are numerous plays available, and risking one unit can lead to quick losses.
2. We will avoid betting on lines that are at, or sometimes near, -200. Instead, we will assess teams based on the run line to determine if a good play exists.
3. The price listed is the price we found when we prepared this post. We do not shop for prices, as we are located in California and have limited options. All suggested plays will be based on this price, although your bookmaker may have slightly different odds.
4. From our experience last year, our system was particularly effective for series prices, which you will also find listed below. Please remember that the same rules from point 3 apply.
