Happy Saturday & National 420 Day!
If you are celebrating the "Holiday" today, or even if you are not, make sure you are stocked up on your favorite snacks because we have a great day of racing ahead! We are headed to sunny So Cal to play the ponies in Arcadia, CA, and Santa Anita Park. The Hollywood meet kicked off yesterday and we don't want to miss too many days of action as this meet only lasts until June 16th. We know it won't be as exciting this week as next as there the Frenchie Derby takes place on the 27th. Today's card has 10 races, 2 graded stakes, and lottsa runners. The featured races fall back to back in races seven and eight. First up is the 9-furlong California Stakes, a grade 2 route over the dirt. This race is for four-year-olds and upward with a purse of $100k. Next up is the grade 3 Providencia Stakes which is a 9 furlong route on the turf track. This race is for 3-year-old fillies and also has a purse of $100K. With eight other races today, there are lots of opportunities to cash some tickets and put a little coin in your pocket for that big weekend in May. We are only two weeks out from the Kentucky Derby and we hope you join us as we continue the march to the run for the roses!!!
The weather today will be perfect for today's card. We will see sunny skies with highs in the low to mid 70s all day long. The turf is firm and the dirt is fast so we are in for another great day of racing!
