Santa Anita Park 🏇🏾// Friday, Feb. 23rd, 2024

Happy Friday & National Banana Bread Day! 🍌

We could think of no better way to celebrate National Banana Bread Day than by visiting one of our favorite tracks and California's oldest (Christmas Day in 1934). Fun Fact - when the first Santa Anita Handicap was run in February of 1935, its $100,000 purse was the largest amount that any race in the United States had produced at the time and earned the track the nickname - the "Big 'Cap." During World War II, the park was used as a Japanese American internment center, with 17,000 people living in the stables. When the war was over and the park re-opened in 1945, the famous downhill turf course was added, bringing Santa Anita on par with many European tracks.

Today's offering is a nice mix of nine races that we hope will allow you folks to head into this weekend with some extra 💵💵💵. And don't forget to check back with us tomorrow, as we'll have picks & Best Bets for the full card at Oaklawn Park. That 12-race card will include a Kentucky Derby Prep Race (G2 Rebel Stakes) and Kentucky Oaks Prep (G3 Honeybee). 50 points for the winner of each race - so yeah - things are getting serious! 🏇

Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our #LundinLine - (Always Free) top pix and best bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow down the field while we're puttin' our tickets together. The first post will be here soon, so don't be late -
