Ok ok! what a crazy MLB Trade season that was. My beloved Giants had a fantastic day 1 with their new slugger Kris Bryant. Today’s games have a plethora of pitchers taking the mound for the 1st time on their new team. Bryse Wilson makes his 1st start with the Pittsburg Pirates against the Brewers and Eric Lauer. What intrigues me the most about this matchup is Wilson has an away ERA of 2.25 and the Pirates have a .660 OPS on the road. For context the Brewers have an OPS of .688 at home. So they are basically even. Lauer has a home ERA of 4.26 And has faced the Pirates before. Only 3 Brewer batters have seen Wilson. I know a lot of talk and stats but maybe the Pirates can squeak a F5 out of it.
Next game for a debut starter we are looking to go against. The Phil‘s are starting Ranger Suarez against the Nats who are starting Dodger transfer Josiah Gray. Suarez comes in with the away ERA of .087 and a 1.11 WHIP. Gray is starting for the first time in a new ball park. He does come in with an ERA 6.75 and a WHIP of 1.50. Phillies on the road against the Nats is where we are looking!
