🏇Happy Sunday & Star Trek Day! 🚀
We're excited about binge-watching some Star Trek episodes this Sunday due to the lack of any meaningful sports to watch. Wait......what........really?
TAKE 2
Hey - we hope you are as excited as we are to welcome the first Sunday of a new NFL season 🏈. All of the respective favorite teams of the Turtle Sports family have yet to play except for one (🦅) so there will be a lot of interest today to see the first effort/outcome in week 1. Perhaps the final day of racing in Ferndale, CA for the Humboldt Co. Fair will not attract as much attention as the NFL, but we are happy to offer our Lundin Line picks & Best Bet before we move to the last stop on the CA Thoroughbred Fair trail. That will be the "Big Fresno Fair", running from Oct. 2nd-14th, with the first day of live racing on Sept. 13th.
Today's card in Ferndale features eight races, highlighted by the 50K C.J. Hindley Humboldt Co. Marathon H., a 1 5/8 mi. race on dirt for 3-year-olds & up.
Ferndale is about a six hr. drive northwest of the World Headquarters of Turtle Sports (aka - the Glass Turtle in Roseville, CA). If you happen to find yourself at the Glass Turtle today, mention this post to any of their portly bartenders sporting Titans attire & receive a complimentary olive (while supplies last). 🍸
Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our (Always Free) #LundinLine's Top Picks and Best Bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow the field while putting our tickets together.
The first post will be here soon, so don't be late - It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰🤑

From our friends at National Day Calendar
"On September 8, 1966, a television series pilot known as Star Trek was introduced on American television. Aiming for an adult audience, this was the first time a scientific fiction series would explore morality through scientific narratives."
