We are back on the track and ready to cash some tickets. We are staying close to home again and heading to sunny San Diego to play the ponies from Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Today's card has 11 total races, three stakes races, and one Breeders' Cup Challenge Series race. The featured race is the BC win-and-in race which comes in the 10th. The Bing Crosby Stakes is a six furlong sprint on the dirt course for three year olds and up and is a Grade 1 stakes. The winner earns a spot in the Cygames Sprint the first weekend in November, right here at Del Mar. More on the history of this race and it's namesake are below for your reading pleasure. The weather today is typical for this time of year, well down there it's always like this, with highs in the upper 60s and mostly sunny skies. The track will be fast and the turf will be firm for another great day of racing!!!

The Bing Crosby Stakes is a prestigious Grade I sprint race held annually at Del Mar Racetrack in California. It was inaugurated in 1946 and named after entertainer Bing Crosby, who was one of the founding partners of Del Mar. Originally run at six furlongs on dirt, the race quickly became a key event for top sprinters on the West Coast. Over the years, it has featured several champion sprinters and serves as a “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.
