We have a great card for you today! Ten races today where the "Turf Meets the Surf" in beautiful Del Mar, California. The feature races will be the Sorrento S. in R5 and the 200K Yellow Ribbon Handicap in R8. Unlike our friends back east, we're lookin' at perfect weather in this shore town about 30 min. north of San Diego, allowing for fast & firm conditions! šš
The Yellow Ribbon Handicap (formerly the Palomar Handicap) is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually at Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, California. The Grade II race is run on turf at a distance of one and one-sixteenth miles (8.5 furlongs) and is open to fillies and mares age three and up. The Palomar Handicap was first run in 1945 as a six-furlong race on dirt for three-year-olds. This race is now called the Yellow Ribbon Handicap.
