Del Mar 🏇🏾 // Fri. Aug. 24, 2023
Today our Lundin Line heads to Southern California for an 8-race card at Del Mar. While everyone knows that Del Mar opened in 1937 (when gas was 10 cents per gallon), we bet you didn't know that during the suspension of racing during World War 2, the grounds were used for training by the Marines and then as a manufacturing site for parts for B-17 bombers. Another fun Del Mar fact: in 1949, a young rider from Texas set a Del Mar record with 52 wins at the meet and became the first apprentice to claim the track's riding title. You might have heard of him: William Lee Shoemaker.
We don't know if any records will be set today, but you never know 🤔
Need help pickin' winners? We've got you covered! Our #LundinLine - (Always Free) top pix and best bets are below in this post. We use them to help narrow down the field while we're puttin' our tickets together. First post will be here soon, so don't be late - It's time to get #InTheMoney! 💰🏇🏻💰🏇🏻💰🤑
Oh, and don't forget to follow us @_TurtleSports and subscribe to our site so you don't miss any of the action. You'll be glad you did! Let's Ride!
